you are presuming too much and too fast... cancerous yes but only when malignant... Toms tumor is probably benign.. and a plain incision for removal may be required taking about 35 days to heal..

@KA9ha You were kind to try to imagine it so. Unfortunately, he has by this time gone to a different, private hospital, and the pathology results are back. It is indeed stage 3 malignant cancer, and it has spread to his lymph nodes and possibly to his other organs. They can not operate at all, because the cancer has grown very close to his heart and it has spread to his airway.
All they can do, at this point, is to try to shrink it with radiation, and treat him with chemotherapy. In the best case scenario, if he is strong enough to withstand the treatments, he will live for 13 months.

@KA9ha I don't know anything about medical treatments or what will be involved, but they have told him he will need to go in every single day for three months, and he wants his ex wife there and his children in one breath, and then says that is impossible. When I offered to go in and be there for him he scoffed at me and told me not to be ridiculous.
I feel so badly for him.

@KA9ha No. I am not his ex wife. I met him in 2010, after my divorce, and we became lovers for about 2 years. He lived with me for a short time and then I kicked him out, but I have never stopped caring about him...not ever. When I give my heart, as I did, it is given. We have remained friends.
I don't know anything about the radiation. He had the first treatment September 20th, and I have not heard from him since.
His treatment will be intensive because the cancer is so severe. The doctors told him he will have to come in every day, and I don't know the reasons. He is going to Dana Farber now, in Boston.

@KA9ha No need for the incision, Beatbox34 has confirmed Jesus will help him...

@sleepyhead I hope He helps him a LOT. I am very worried about him. He called me on Saturdays and was having a panic attack, and said he needed help because he was gasping for air when he walked to the fridge to get water. He would not allow me to come over to help him...and then later he started drinking beer and he sounded fine when I called him to check on him.
