Can anyone recomend a good spiritual book to read ? [Spirituality & Religion]

I have read the bible , but looking to extend out . At times when you read the bible , the very thing about reading it is that at the end of it , you'd end up thinking your God so I have to humble myself and loose the ego cause ego can be very dangerous , that takes you away from God.

khalil gibran the prophet It's very spiritual. there are poems that tackle different aspects of life and how to guide ourselves.

@Dancingxghost I totally agree!! Just read a book about his poems, stories and spiritual insights. My very favorite:"a just man causes the devil more affliction than a million blind followers. "
I knew he was poet, painter and philosopher. Not sure i heard prophet. Yet.

@kentex35 lol no, he is not a prophet, the book is called the prophet because it starts like a story of a prophet leaving his hometown and giving some last advice before leaving. I'm sorry if it didn't do much sense gramatically, english is not my native language. but I'm really glad we both agree on his thoughts. 😊
