This is like asking if your goldfish is at the top or the bottom of the aquarium ... God's not in the aquarium, he's standing next to it, he built it ... he's not constrained by such human things.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@NudasPriest Nietzsche wasn't being literal. And yes, posing ontological questions about metaphysical entities is generally senseless.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@NudasPriest So your god can enter spacetime and manipulate matter within it, yet is outside of spacetime?
NudasPriest · 46-50, M
@newjaninev2 Can you dip your hand into an aquarium?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@NudasPriest When you do that, the fish don't need faith to perceive your existence 🤷‍♂️
Carazaa · F
@NudasPriest nice🌷
NudasPriest · 46-50, M
@QuixoticSoul If the lights are off, all they'll feel is the ripples.
NudasPriest · 46-50, M
@Carazaa Thank you.

@NudasPriest LOL!🤣

@QuixoticSoul It is self evident God loves us if we see the sunrise in the morning. What a God we have! Did you see the tornado this week. God was in there too. He want us to realize His power. He is Holy, and he is Mighty, and he is Jesus capable of doing anything for you. He is a spirit.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Carazaa A sunset is what you make of it. The magic ingredient is you, the observer.
Carazaa · F
@QuixoticSoul No it is the God who made the sun and gave us the sunrise that is the most beautiful. Even more than the sunrise. God is in the beauty, we are no match, we don't even come close. But even so, God still loves us and beckons us to come to Him.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul I know what causes the effects that make sunrises and sunsets beautiful, I also know the process that causes leaves to turn different colours in the Autumn (mind you, it['s pretty much only imported trees that do that over here) and it does not diminish the beauty of the events. While some people need God to allow them to appreciate beauty, I'd much rather just enjoy it for what it is, natural events that appeal strongly to our senses.

@NudasPriest
Can you dip your hand into an aquarium?
Not without my hand becoming wet
NudasPriest · 46-50, M
@newjaninev2 I like that analogy.
Carazaa · F
@Bushranger We are spinning in space and we are here and that is a miracle. God spoke and he made the world. If you can't understand that then you are not as intelligent as I thought. My Dad was a world renowned heart researcher, and so loved by everyone. He knew God made the rules on the operating table. I don't know many smarter people than him and his friends from all over the world who visited top scientists from allover. He would entertain with his piano. No one in that crowd ever dared to be so arrogant to say that they were in control of the patient. No God was. Why is it so hard for some not to see God in everything.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Carazaa Again, that is your belief. It is not shared by everyone. I accept that you believe in your God, I also don't deny the possibility of God. I've had some major surgery in the past. I didn't ask the surgeon what his religious affiliation was, I was more concerned with his experience and ability. Sorry, but I'd rather rely on science, technology and skill than a supernatural being. If God wants me to believe, he would know how to prove himself to me. Until he does, I will remain very happy in my Atheism.
Carazaa · F
@Bushranger okeydokey!
Bushmanoz · 56-60, M
@Bushranger That's it in a nutshell, I hope your surgery went well by the way, and just as a side note, I have never had an Atheist come to my door and try to convince me to think as they do.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Bushmanoz Thanks, mate. Yeah, maybe Atheists should look at the evangelists and start going door to door, lol.

I don't even get any JWs knocking on the door anymore, guess I'm on the no-go list.
Carazaa · F
@Bushranger
I don't even get any JWs knocking on the door anymore
I am glad you realize the difference, between Jesus and JW. They don't believe what he said "IAM the way the truth the life, no one comes to the Father but through me."
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Carazaa And JWs would say that you are wrong and would be able to provide Biblical scriptures to support their claim. This has been my point for some time; who has the right interpretation? Is there a right interpretation? Since belief in God is based entirely on faith, all interpretations should be equally valid, provided they consider God to be the ultimate head of their beliefs. But, this only applies to spiritual matters, not the physical world.
Carazaa · F
@Bushranger JW are wrong because you can't at the same time believe in the Bible and disagree with Jesus. Jesus said IAM, Jehovah said my name is IAM, Jesus said "only God can forgive your sins," and then he asked the apostles "which is harder to say take up your chair and walk or say I forgive your sins," they said take up your bed and walk. Jesus said to the crippled man take your bed and walk, and the crippled man walked away. He continuously proved He is God and can forgive our sins. Yet JW don't believe he is God in the flesh. They have another gospel. By the way I am sorry that I said you are not as intelligent as I thought. That was rude of me. I think you are very intelligent but spirituality is something different entirely.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Carazaa But, as I've said previously, other people have different beliefs to yours and would say that you are wrong. Just by claiming that your God is the only true one, doesn't make it objectively true.

Trying to prove that God exists is impossible, as is trying to prove that God doesn't exist. Belief depends on faith and there is more than one faith.
Carazaa · F
@Bushranger Truth has nothing to do with our faith. Truth is truth. I believe Jesus said he is God. It has nothing to do with if I have faith or not.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Carazaa So you would accept that the beliefs of others is equally valid?
