An important aspect of science is being open to and even seeking out that which might disprove your theory. [Spirituality & Religion]

While i am no scientist, to this end i would like to hear from you folks regarding what evidence you feel shows that evolution didn't happen or couldn't happen.

I'm legitimately interested to engage with you on this.

God is the Author of science. There is too much detail and precise order to have been popped in out of thin air.

@GodSpeed63 Ganesh makes the cookies. You can't get that many molecules to be so delicious by random chance.
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63 Once again, where did this god thing come from? By your own argument, it's too complex to have popped into existence from nothing.
@GodSpeed63

That's your faith claim, yes. It's a logical fallacy known as an argument from incredulity and it is not evidence which shows that evolution did not happen or could not happen.

Thank you for your contribution.

@Pikachu
That's your faith claim, yes
No, it's the truth.
Thank you for your contribution.
You're most welcome.
@GodSpeed63

Maybe, maybe not.
Either way, it's still just a logical fallacy and not evidence.
You know what a logical fallacy is, right?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
You know what a logical fallacy is, right?
Yes, I do but God is the Author of logic and reason.
@GodSpeed63
Yes, I do but God is the Author of logic and reason.
Good. Then you understand why your argument from incredulity is not in fact evidence.
Even if god IS the author of logic and reason, your argument is still logically invalid.
You realize this, yes?

Unless you were being dishonest when you claimed to know what a logical fallacy is...
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
Good. Then you understand why your argument from incredulity is not in fact evidence.
God's handiwork is evidence enough so that anyone is without excuse.
@GodSpeed63

I'm sure that is compelling to you.
It's also not a pertinent response.
Do you understand what a logical fallacy is? You claim to. If you really do then you understand why an argument from incredulity can not and should not be considered counter evidence to evolution.

I'm not asking you to admit that your belief is wrong. I'm asking you to recognize that the conclusion you draw does not logically follow from the claim you make.
Do you understand?

@GodSpeed63
God's handiwork is evidence enough
What handiwork and what links your specific god with it?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
What handiwork and what links your specific god with it?
You're still without excuse, Sharon, I'm still praying for you.
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63 You didn't answer the question.

I still don't need an excuse so it doesn't matter that I don't have one.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
I still don't need an excuse
The way you keep using them, it looks like you do.
@GodSpeed63 you’re right! The Flying Spaghetti Monster ordered this world so beautifully complex, that it causes atheistic scientist to be fooled about the truth!
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63
The way you keep using them,
What excuses? Make your mind up, keep saying I don't have any. Your memory must really be failing if you've forgotten already.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
What excuses?
Read your own postings.
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63
Read your own postings.
I do. Now point out the excuses in them that you say I don't have.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
Now point out the excuses in them that you say I don't have.
Your postings are your excuses.
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63 If that were true, I wouldn't be without excuse. :)
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
If that were true, I wouldn't be without excuse.
It is true. You are without excuse no matter how many excuses you make for yourself. So, if you want to keep making excuses for yourself, go ahead, but you're still without excuse.
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63
You are without excuse no matter how many excuses you make
That doesn't make any sense at all, it's oxymoronic.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
That doesn't make any sense at all,
Then why do you keep doing it?
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63 Doing what? You're making even less sense now. I suppose that's only to be expected. How's your imaginary friend doing?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
Doing what?
Trying to get juice from an empty juice bottle.
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63 Now you're making even less sense than before. Give it a rest and come back when you're able to think straight.
