Why do we pray???
Prayers aren't necessarily something that we automatically get answered, or we'd have an end to suffering and death already.
Prayer is a way to strengthen your relationship with God, though it also has a healing quality about it for the person who prays. We could be entirely alone on a desert island, but not feel lonely as long as we sense a god or higher being in our lives.
