...why do fossil beds keep showing us stratification of organisms? Why are certain animals found in only certain layers instead of all mixed together as they would be if they all lived at the same time?

Yeah i think of it like growing up. The more distant you are from your childhood or teenage actions, the more you can see what a little idiot you were.
