I notice the British press shy away from certain words [Spirituality & Religion]

For the record, I dislike all of the Abrahamic religions. However, the British press have a hard time ever using the word 'Islam'. When groups of muslims, and purely muslims, protested against and successfully shut down LGBTQ lessons in British schools, the BBC referred to it simply as '"religion" vs lgbtq, but if a group of christians did something, no hesitation in calling them a christian group. And then "so called" islamic state, rather than "islamic state". Or, "the offending pictures of muhammed have to be blurred". I think we know why. Now, we have an unspecified religion in the arab world which encourages wearing headscarfs. Wonder which one that would be. In naming the ideology, what sort of reaction are you worried of getting, from who and why?
