Do you ever wonder if you are a good enough christian [Spirituality & Religion]

I sometimes think about whether I am a failure as a christian because of my flaws. I know that I am wholly redeemed by Christ's dying for my sins. But am I actually a good influence towards others leading them towards wanting Christ in their lives.

Christ performed his atoning sacrifice for us to rely on him through faith , if you belive in the repenting doctrine that means we need to overcome our own sins to be closer to him . We also need to serve others too . Those two things helps us become less selfish.

@Fa8393 sorry but we can't overcome our own sins.tgats why we need jesus
Fa8393 · 41-45, M
@Klingwood christ already did that for us by being crucified to the cross and died on it . He bore our sins in the garden . We accept christ as our savior and take apoun his name . We need to continue to repent of our sins to recieve our salvation.

@Fa8393 yes but we don't overcome on our own we need his spirit living on us and leading us with fire
Fore to burn out the trash within that we are unable to ovwrcome

@Klingwood your talking about getting baptize with the holy ghost , as we repent after getting baptize that allows the holy ghost to stay with us .
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@Fa8393 yup so your not overcoming without his spirit ,we must start with the rebirth to overcome anything
Fa8393 · 41-45, M
@Klingwood I grew up Christian, I know the steps . But just because we accept christ as our savior does not mean we get off free from overcoming sin throughout our life . You do that and his atonement means nothing .

@Fa8393 again one can not overcome sin without the baptism of the holy Spirit that's all in saying one must be filled first with his spirit

@Fa8393 well blind faith is what hitlers followers, followed and look at all the people that died, many wars were a result of religon, you need to pull your head out of the bible and live in the real world. Christ isnt going to save the world from itself. I was brought up as a catholic with christian values, but at some point you still need to look at what goes on around us, wars in the middle east are all about religon who says either side is right or wrong, but killing is wrong it says so in the bible. so who is sinning which side is good and which is evil, in any war, or skimish. faith will only take you so far you also need to think for yourself as well. the teachings in most religon is out dated, lets read from scriptures that were created in a different era then interpret them how ever we see fit.. is this what we should be doing, how many homeless people need to die of starvation or povety reaches record levels in countries run by rich people, how is this right? once again quote some scripture and spout repent and your sins will be forgiven. please dont preach here unless your free of sin, and none of us are. these are my thoughts and you can take them or leave them as we are all entitled to an opinion just dont ram your opinion/religon down everyone elses throat.

@fionawill not sure why you need to preach to me this way , I do belive GOD can not inferior with everything.

@Fa8393 your comment did seem a bit one sided, i was just making a comment to explain there is more than 1 side. i will leave it at that
Fa8393 · 41-45, M
@fionawill my journey with my faith has been a personal one . Its been about overcoming issues that I have to better myself . I have relyed on my faith and keeping covenants towards my GOD.
