So...god already knows what will happen in the future. And god is infallible so that means you can't change it...so does free will actually exist? [Spirituality & Religion]

I know that this is an old question but i've never really talked about it before.

And this is compounded if we believe that biblical prophecies are legitimate.

How do we square inviolable predetermination with free will?

Prayer changes Gods mind. I have had many prayers answered (beyond the odds of coincidences) But God does not hear, nor answer, peoples prayers who are not saved.

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16
@Carazaa

So how do you know if you changed god's mind or if your prayer was already part of his plan?

Ok so let me give you just one example. You have to have good logical thinking and apply statistical probability to understand how I came to the conclusion that God intervened in my life on this occasion. I have many others! He definitely is there for me and changes the future for me.

Here is one time that he absolutely answered my prayer. I have many many more miracles to tell you. When I was young, my husband left me and moved in with someone else. I prayed to God for help and asked him to give me wisdom from the Bible how to pay my bills.

I had 2 small children and could not pay all my bills. So I came across a passage I had never seen before "I challenge you to give me your first fruits and see if I won't pour down heaven for you and your barns will be overflowing." I had no barns but I did have an empty checking account. So I gave 10% of the little I had ( which made me short on the rent next week) and I told no one about my situation.

I said to God ok you want me to challenge you so I will i pray that I will be able to pay my bills and now I give you the money instead of paying my rent. I gave to college avenue Baptist church in San Diego California and family radio in Oakland, California.

A day or so before my rent was due this lady knocked on my door and said " do you remember that you took me to a nursing home to visit my neighbor last year? Well he died and he gave me all his money because he was I love with me after my husband died. She said, " I don't need this because I am a millionaire. " It was $22,000. I could pay my rent. It was more than my yearly salary at the time.

@Pikachu ofcourse God might have made my husband leave, and knew that if I had no money I would pray, and then he would come
through for me, in order for me to tell the world this story, who knows?

I think my whole life is an amazing miracle what God has done for my life. If I told you my name I'm all over the internet. God creates situations to get the gospel out. He knows the outcome but we CAN change God's mind because he loves us. If we are saved.

John 14:14 Jesus says " If you ask anything in my name I will do it"
@Carazaa

That's a lovely story carazaa. But did your prayer change god's mind or was that always part of the plan?
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu We don't know these answers from the Bible, but we know God molds the future and all things work out for good in the end for those who love Him, His name will be glorified even if we take a wrong turn and go astray. He wants his gospel to go out, but we do not have to go to Africa if we don't feel like it. God will just send someone else instead.
@Pikachu
was that always part of the plan?
Or was just pure co-incidence?
