Can creationism make verifiable predictions? Can creationism be considered in the same realm as science? [Spirituality & Religion]

For something to be a scientific theory, it must be predictive.
That is to say, it must be able to specifically predict something which has not yet been observed.

Evolution theory can and has done this.
For example, Tiktaalik.
It was predicted that an organism demonstrating certain features would be found in a geological layer representing a certain time period.
And that prediction was validated.

What verifiable predictions can a creation-based world view make?

It already is.

@GodSpeed63 What already is what?
@GodSpeed63

Can you share a prediction that creation made which was then verified?

Can you share a prediction that creation made which was then verified?

The birth of Christ, His life here on earth, His ministry, His death on the cross, and His resurrection. Shall I go on?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 When and where does the creation myth make that specific, unambiguous prediction?
@GodSpeed63

Shall I go on?

Yes, you absolutely shall go on if you want to make the point you think you're making.

1) As suzie points out, those predictions are far from unambiguous and
2) those aren't predictions about the world. Even if we're going to assume that the new testament in whole or in part wasn't deliberately written (as it appears to be in some places) in order to fulfill earlier predictions, they're still not verifiable. You follow? There is no way, for instance, to objectively verify that jesus indeed rose from the dead.

I guess this is my fault for not making myself clear enough. Allow me to be more precise.

I'm not asking you if the bible can "predict" things which happen later in the bible.
I'm asking if - like the theory of evolution - creation can make predictions about what we'll find in the real world which can then be verified.

So, what are some examples of creation doing that?
Or when you said "It already is", were you referring only to predictions made within the bible?

I don't put much merit in what Suzie says. The Word of God is the only solid truth we have in this fallen world regardless of what you or her or anyone thinks.

Jesus did rise from the dead, and those who witnessed that event, gave their lives to preserve the truth. No one willing gives their life to preserve a lie. Okay?

@GodSpeed63 No, not OK. I can't give any credence to what you or your book of fairy tales says. Lots of people have given their lives for a false cause.

@suzie1960
No, not OK.

I can't give any credence to the fairy tales you dream up. Something from nothing = everything doesn't fit in the real world. There's one true God who lives forever, so don't try to use that equation on me.
@GodSpeed63

If you would like to debate the idea that the resurrection can be proved then i would legitimately be delighted to do so.
But not in this thread. Feel free to make one devoted to that subject.
If you ask nicely, i'll even make one for you😉

Until then, let's not get distracted. Let us remain focused on the subject of this thread.

So, an answer now, if you please.
Does creation make predictions about what we'll find in the real world which can then be verified?

If so, name one.

Creation can't make predictions but God, Yahweh, the Creator of all, can and has made them. Israel becoming a state again in 1948 is one of them.
@GodSpeed63

Creation can't make predictions

And thank you for admitting it.
That wasn't so hard.

If you would like to debate the validity of biblical prophecies, i would be only too happy to do so.
But again, not in this thread😉

I haven't dreamed up any fairy tales, that's just another of your lies. You, on the other hand, believe a book full of fairy tales somehow represents reality.

There's one true Flying Spaghetti Monster who lives forever. Your silly made up "god jehovah/yahweh" thing will never dethrone Quob. :)

I haven't dreamed up any fairy tales,

Every time you posted, it's been a fairy tale. Suzie Q, you're something else.

@Pikachu Now let me ask you a question.

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has [g]the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. Revelation 13:16-18

The Apostle John, how did he know about the chip that will be in our hand or forehead? They're already practicing this in Sweden.
@GodSpeed63

how did he know about the chip that will be in our hand
Easy. He didn't

How do you know that this is what he was talking about?
It's not even a mark and it's certainly not going in the forehead.
Tell ya what, when hand and/or head chips become the only way anyone is allowed to buy or sell, we'll revisit this😉

@GodSpeed63

You're talking about yourself again. You have never produced a single shred of evidence to support any of your ridiculous claims. If you had you could provide a link to where you posted it. Failing that, you could post it here now but we both know you can't. All you do is repeatedly lie by falsely claiming you have.

You have even claimed, as a fact, that you were dead and have somehow come back to life. You live in a complete fantasy world with mythical creatures like your "god jehovah/yahweh" thing and talking snakes.
GodSpeed63 · 70-79, M
@suzie1960
You're talking about yourself again.

You're not that dense are you, Suzie Q?
@GodSpeed63

You get what i'm saying?
This microchip thing doesn't even properly fulfill the prophecy so what makes you think this is what was being described in revelation?
GodSpeed63 · 70-79, M
@Pikachu

I'll answer your question when you answer mine.
@GodSpeed63

Which question was that?
How did john know? I already answered that. He didn't.

If there was a different question to which you are referring, please repeat it.

Unless that was just your way of avoiding having to validate how these microchips could be considered fulfillment of a prophecy....
@GodSpeed63

I hope you'll be specific. Just don't like playing this game we've played in the past where you demand that i answer your question but refuse to specify what the question is.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F

Wishful thinking.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 Just stating the facts.
@GodSpeed63

So were you going to explain how you feel that this prophecy is fulfilled by hand chips or was this just something you stumbled across on the internet but didn't bother to really look into?
