Its the overwhelming gaps in evolution that make the entire theory crumble.
@Theliberal

Which gaps do you feel those are?
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@Pikachu your the evolution expert. We can start with your monkey men..falls apart right from the start.
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@Theliberal Evolution is happening. It is observable. The mechanisms involved are being worked out and debated but the principle is solid
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@CookieLuvsBunny The start of evolution would already be solid and filled in by now. Any evidence that there might have been is deteriorating. The theory isnt getting stronger, its losing even what credibility it has.
@Theliberal

Going to need you to elaborate on what you mean by "monkey men" and why you feel this is a reason to dispute evolution.

@Theliberal
start with your monkey men
OK, let's start there.

What are they?
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@Theliberal Evolutionary theory isn't falling apart any more than Atomic Theory, Germ theory, Quantum Theory or Gravitational field Theory is falling apart
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@Pikachu you know exactly what i mean by monkey men. You also know the evolution process presented in them is flawed and gapped. Anyone can draw a picture, and then draw another slighly different and so on. The link between them that tie them together is missing.
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@Theliberal What you are demonstrating is the fallacy of personal incredulity
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@CookieLuvsBunny evolution definitely doesnt have a solid foundation to stand on. Speculation isnt grounds for standing. Until the gaps are filled in evolution will be nothing more then speculation.
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@Theliberal Evolutionary biology is much more than speculation. Your argument is vapid
@Theliberal

I'm going to need you to make a specific criticism here.
Because no, i have no idea what monkey men are or why they should be considered a problem for evolution.
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@Pikachu He doesn't know what he means himself. Just being argumentative
@CookieLuvsBunny

I'm certainly leaning that way.
But i've decided to be charitable and give him one more chance
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@Pikachu should have known better then to even post here. There are two possibilities at hand. 1. You know what im talking about, you know its flawed to the core and dont want to admit it or 2. You actually know dick about evolution, you simply post for arguments sake.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@CookieLuvsBunny @Pikachu As we know, humans are supposed to have evolved from monkeys. But there's been a whole series of mistakes and misinterpretation of the fossil record, not to mention outright fakes that have been made to try to prove evolution. Besides which, if we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Theliberal
There are two possibilities at hand
You forgot the third possibility: You don't know dick about evolution... and nobody, including you, knows what you're talking about
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@newjaninev2 how about you enlighten the dim witted there genius. Tell us all about it.
@Theliberal

Ok...the obvious third option being that i'm being genuine and need you to communicate more clearly in order to move this discussion forward.

But i think that you've made it clear that discussion is not your priority here.

You're welcome back if that changes.
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@newjaninev2 just dont try to pull your typical genes theory bullshit. That doesnt jive. A Chicken is the closest ancestor to the T-Rex
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@Pikachu its cool. Im done if nobody responds.
@Theliberal

Yeah, funny how quickly a debate breaks down when one participant refuses to actually make their case...
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Theliberal
Im done if nobody responds
I'm still waiting for you to respond to my original question.

I'll repeat it here for you: what are 'monkey men'?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Theliberal Or can we just take it as read that Option Three is correct?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Theliberal We didn't evolve directly from monkeys, we have a common ancestor that we share similar traits with because half of our genetic profile, roughly 98.8 percent matches up. Even our immune systems are almost identical:

I suggest starting at 1:25 and then later on when they talk about sequencing DNA results of various species. You also learn about how we classify animals into different groups by both physical and internal traits through this video as well:
