Is that really what you meant to write?
@Budwick

is there a problem?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Pikachu Not for me.
I just didn't you to accidentally embarrass yourself.
If you meant to say we can ignore evidence of Evolution - knock your socks off.
@Budwick

Sorry, i'm just not seeing what mistake you're attempting to identify.
But i think we can safely assume that it has little to do with the subject of the thread, yeah?

I don't you to accidentally embarrass yourself either😉

@Pikachu I’m not trying to be smug or snide, but I genuinely think he doesn’t understand subordinate clauses.
@OggggO

It certainly appears to be something like that because i can't see the issue with the post and it doesn't seem to be confusing anyone else.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Pikachu I'm not at all confused.
And I DO know the origin of life!

AND, everyone knows that subordinate clauses are Santa's helpers!
@Budwick

If you say so. But can we now safely ignore whatever petty perceived mistake you thought you were calling out?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Pikachu Ignore away!
You've have clearly stated that you do not make errors.
@Budwick

No, no . I asked if we could safely ignore it, sport.😉

That is to say, either identify the mistake you thought was more relevant than discussing the topic of the thread of drop the petty attempt to identify mistakes which have nothing to do with the subject.

Mmmkay?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Pikachu AHhhh ok.
My mistake was to point what appeared to be an error on your part would be received with graciousness instead of viscous attack.

My bad.
@Budwick

lol wait, what are you getting outraged about right now?

That i didn't graciously acknowledged you for your (as yet unspecified) criticism of the phrasing of my post or my suggestion that you make explicit your criticism or drop it and discuss the subject?

lololol Please share with us which part of my post you thought was most vicious !

Go on....
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Budwick Why should anyone extend to you a courtesy you are unwilling to grant them?
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Pikachu You’re laying it on a little thick. ;)
@OggggO

Subtlety is lost on him lol
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Pikachu NO, no it's not lost.
I can see the condescension there.

Ogg, wern't you a Christian last week?
Did you evolve?
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Budwick I'm still a Christian. Christianity and evolution are not incompatible.

Spot on! Glad we could get that out of the way.
@Budwick

protip: don't dish it out if you can't take it 😁
@OggggO @Budwick
I'm still a Christian. Christianity and evolution are not incompatible.
Agreed.

Incompatibility stems from forcing an interpretation which goes beyond the text, and from a fear of science in general.

If you accept that God pronounced the Creation as "very good" and that we are created in His image...then why fear the fruit of our minds, esp. when tested over years?
