Whose truth?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@SW-User The truth.
SW-User
@BlueVeins There are few objective truths.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@SW-User There are many objective truths, outside of a strictly solipsistic sense. I ate a burrito for breakfast this morning; that's an objective truth. Luna orbits Earth. Hydrogen atoms have one proton each. Darkness is the absence of light. All objective truths, if you're willing to look, and I'm sure you know there's countless more.

@BlueVeins I meant outside of physical science.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@SW-User That's not particularly meaningful though, considering that we live in a physical world and all.

@BlueVeins Whatever. Forget I said anything.

@SW-User I have a long memory, but I'll do my best. ❤️ Happy Valentine's Day!
@BlueVeins

Well what about stuff like god? Not necessarily physical but either true or not true.
No way to physically verify it.
But my truth could be that he exists and your truth could be that he doesn't.
So whose truth should we be going on?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Pikachu Not to be pedantic, but there is an objective truth regarding the existence/non-existence of god. It's true that our conceptions of that objective truth are, in themselves, subjective, but we can use those subjective opinions to somewhat account for the truth. As to whose truth you should be going on, I would argue that you should not go off of another's perceptions. We should instead use indirect evidence to attempt to reconstruct objective truth, and do what we will with that reconstruction.
