If evil is the product of free will and there is no evil in heaven...will we have free will in heaven? [Spirituality & Religion]

If God is truly omniscient and has full knowledge of what will happen, we have no free will.
@Bushranger

lol this reminds me of the Futurama episode "Godfellas" wherein Bender meets god.

Bender: So...do you know what i'm going to do before i do it?

God: Yes.

Bender: What if i do something different?

God: Then i don't know that.

@Pikachu I vaguely remember that episode. Was a fantastic show, just wish I got to watch all of it.

But, seriously, I've had this discussion elsewhere on SW and it usually goes something like this:

Christian: God created Adam and Eve and gave them free will.
Me: So God didn't know that Eve would eat the forbidden fruit?
Christian: No, God knows everything that is going to happen so he knew that Eve would sin.
Me: So, if God knew that Eve would sin, it was part of the original creation. Therefore Eve had no choice but to sin.
Christian: No, Eve had free will, so she could have chosen to not sin.
Me: But if God knew that Eve would sin when he created everything, it was pre-ordained that she would do so. How can she have free will if God know that she would sin?
Christian: Because God created us with free will, so she had a choice.

By this time the circularity of he argument gets to be quite dizzying. There just doesn't seem to be any real logic in some of these arguments.
@Bushranger

Well you could download it all like i have lol.

Yeah, circular reasoning often finds its way into these arguments.

@Pikachu Yep, round and round in ever diminishing circles, just like the Oozlum bird lol.

@Bushranger There's a much tighter circular argument that is favoured by the Jehova's Witnesses. It goes like this:

"The Bible must be true because it's the Word of God".
"But how do you know it's the Word of God?"
"Because it says so in the Bible."

Case closed!

@Glossy It's not just the JWs that says that, my friend. It's a common argument on here.

Maybe we should number all these arguments and counter-arguments so we can have a discussion by simply saying “number seventeen”, and somebody else can say “no, number twenty three”.

( maybe that’s why they’re called counter arguments!)

@Glossy I'll see your number 4 and raise a number7 😀
@Glossy

lol that would be kinda great.
