Why doesn't god want me to believe in him? [Spirituality & Religion]

There was a time in my life when i earnestly, desperately asked god to reveal himself to me.
If god is real then he would know how to make me believe. But evidently he hasn't done that.
So either he doesn't exist or he doesn't want me to believe, right?

Same here. Made me a little crazy.
@Doomflower

I found it crated a real sense of being on the outside.
This is what i'm told everyone else is doing in order to feel god's presence, so why isn't it working?

@Pikachu idk.

I do think that none of the gods I've ever heard about, except perhaps the deistic version of god which I can't test for, exist. I know they don't exist for the same reasons I know there isn't really a Santa and to the same degree of certainty.
@Doomflower
i think the santa analogy is very apt.
