Christians: do you believe that the WHOLE bible is the inspired word of god? [Spirituality & Religion]

If so, how do you reconcile the many immoral things in the bible like the owning of slaves, the inequality of women and the murder of homosexuals?

Now, this is a bit of a gotcha question but i am still genuinely interested in how the faithful reconcile these immoral things with the idea that god is unfailingly moral and just or that the bible is the ultimate source for morality.

The Bible was a beautifully written set of poems, laws, stories etc suitable at the time for the wandering tribes of the desert.
@lancashirelady50

Lost in translation?!

That may not be coterminous with their thoughts on blasphemy.
@lancashirelady50

is swearing blasphemy?

In the literal sense “swearing” is related to oath- so yes.
@lancashirelady50

Well but what about in the colloquial sense that we're using as in saying a word that is not considered polite or appropriate?

@lancashirelady50 That sounds workable. Now, if I were just in one of the wandering tribes of the desert...
