I wish I wasn't an atheist. I deeply envy people who have faith in an afterlife. [Spirituality & Religion]

It causes me a great deal of anxiety and stress when I begin to think about what happens to people I love when they die, and what will eventually happen to me too. I wish so badly I could feel safe and confident that, even though death is hard, my loved ones will be just fine, and so will I, and we'll eventually be together again, happy and secure.

I don’t think it’s about religion, it comes down to how unbothered you are, I just hope parallel universes are real and not that heaven and hell crap 😂

@SW-User My best friend believes in reincarnation.

@SW-User who says both cannot be real? .-.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick I hate the idea of that too, dying only to return? Tf lol
SW-User
@SW-User I guess you mean realms?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User I have mixed feelings about it, especially for that idea that we can come back as animals. Oi.

@SW-User I dunno, but sure? All I am saying is, heaven and hell existing is out of our control. Same with parallel universes. I believe in heaven and hell, afterlife, and other universes as well >_>

Nothing to say that we got any reason to keep them distict by a false dichotomy
SW-User
@SW-User True but it sounds too chaotic to me so I half believe in both lol
SW-User
@SW-User what makes it seem chaotic? .-.

@SW-User Every religion has is own idea on death and it annoys me
SW-User
@SW-User that's why you need to think ._.

So many are corrupt and wrong. What are the odds ALL are wrong? Maybe? But if one of them is right, it is your fault for not paying attention and discovering it. What is right will make sense, but sense to you, subjectively. It will make sense to you obectively

A lotta people these days just observe EXACTLY what you said and turn away. I almost did that when I used to be atheist, but I appreciate reading lots now

@SW-User reading up on all that is actually one of my new year resolutions lol but either way I don’t like how death and the “gates of heaven/hell” is glorified; I think its all blank once you die
SW-User
@SW-User I beg to differ .-.
And I think looking at this life in a basic way will give some backing to it, but just read whenever you can. It took me 2 years ._. Just so ya know
