Hey Creationists. Do you think that creationism should be taught in schools as science? [Spirituality & Religion]

If so then you must be able to tell us how creationism could be falsified.
You must be able to tell me how creationism can make testable predictions.
You must be able to show experimentally how creation functions.

Can you do that for us? If not, do you still feel that creationism should be taught in schools as a science?

@MarmeeMarch

yeah...that's about the level of response i would expect from you.
Leave this one to the educated, mmkay?😁👍
@Pikachu Oh - you know it.
@MarmeeMarch

yes...i do😕

But feel free to offer a more insightful response if you can think of one😁👍
@Pikachu Sure, I think it should be taught in schools to the very young and only the basics then as advance as kids get older. But make sure you set them straight on the truth when they are young so they dont grow up to be boneheaded fools.
@MarmeeMarch

Well then you should be able to answer the questions presented in the original post.
Go on then...
😁👍
@Pikachu why ? who said that you can measure divine intervention or falsify it
@MarmeeMarch

No one.
But if you can't do that then you can't call it science.
You call it faith.
So then you agree that it shouldn't be taught in school along side science.

So we DO agree on some things lol
@Pikachu sure - cant do it as a science you can teach the theories using science and of course A theory is only an educated guess
@MarmeeMarch

Dude.
English, do you speak it?

Can you rephrase that please?
@Pikachu Aw are we resorting to insults now ? too bad Ill try to answer your half baked questions but Ill let the insults just pass like a fart in the night --- hey just like you !
@MarmeeMarch

...but you asked me that same question in a different thread.
So hop off that high horse😉

So, rephrase?
@Pikachu I did -- Oh maybe I sniffed a bottle of beer and got drunk
@Pikachu I made an exception just for you and edited hope you understand it
@MarmeeMarch

ok...so now that you're (presumably) done saving face, can you rephrase your question to facilitate clear communication or are you just here to be combative?
@Pikachu Saving face ? you kill me --- anyway you bore me. I get bored with you more and more.. these days.
@MarmeeMarch

of course A theory is only an educated guess

Um...no. You're wrong.

A scientific theory is not a guess.
It's the best, most comprehensive, consistent and predictive explanation for the available data.
Or do you think that the germ theory of disease is just an educated guess?
Are we just guessing that microorganisms cause a huge percentage of human disease? Hmmm?😏
@MarmeeMarch

Hey guy. Seems you dropped the ball on our "what is a scientific theory" conversation.

Did you just miss it or was your silence your way of conceding the point?
@Pikachu There is a THEORY that in about 4B years the sun will go out but first it will expand and engulf the earth causing it to vaporize into dust. Is that a fact or an educated guess. Hmmmm ?
@MarmeeMarch

Sorry, seems like you tried to dodge the question.
Answer it now.

P.S. What's the name of that theory? Is it a theory or a hypothesis?
Yeah , that's what i thought😁
@Pikachu Hate to break it to you but a hypothesis is a synonym for theory -
@MarmeeMarch

a hypothesis is a synonym for theory -

Awww buddy...no

Jeez. Now i feel bad. No.
See, you're thinking of "theory" in the colloquial sense. The way it's used in every day speech, like "i have a theory that my neighbour is cheating on his wife".

A capital T, Scientific Theory is not the same as a hypothesis. As i said before, it's a consistent, comprehensive, predictive explanation of the world around us.

Here, let me and mr google hold your hand:

@Pikachu OMG you might have just found the cure for the common cold !!
@MarmeeMarch

Not really big on admitting your mistakes, are you champ?😏
@Pikachu No mistake made here - Champ

In science, a hypothesis is an idea or explanation that you then test through study and experimentation. Outside science, a theory or guess can also be called a hypothesis. A hypothesis is something more than a wild guess but less than a well-established theory.
