So if god cares about humanity and our salvation, why do you suppose that he only revealed himself to some ancient middle eastern people? [Spirituality & Religion]

Why wouldn't he reveal himself to the different cultures and populations across the world? After all, this was a time when the world was much larger and the global dissemination of information was not only impractical but downright impossible.

So why don't we see diverse cultures all sharing a fundamental religion that could be recognized as christianity?

If god actually wanted to save all his humans, why do it in such an objectively ineffective way?

Most cultures are theistic. Do you think this hints to a great possibility of their being a god?

Because it would have been the same god revealing himself and laying out the same laws more or less.
But we don't see that.

I do not. I see that as the natural tendency of humans to create stories to explain that for which they have no explanation.

@Cmstars Most cultures though followed much more primitive gods before modern day religions descended on them.

They worshiped the powerful forces around them, the sun the ocean, the seasons, etc. I don't think that hints to any possibility there is a god. Just hints that humans don't like to feel out of control in their world. Having a god you can pray to or make sacrifices to, just helps you feel like you have some control when we really don't.

@Pikachu Jesus existed and had a message. Lets just say it was to love each other. Love our enemies, etc. Is that messaged believed in all kinds of ways or do all Christians,through all ages, believed this? I think there are better arguments for God's non-existence.For example, God simply doesnt reveal "himself" at all in some times, for some people groups. And yet he wants to say all humans? Now that to me is an easier inconsistency to discuss.

I'm not sure that there is. I think deity worship is an emergent property of the answer seeking, problem solving brain which IS adaptive.
People like to organize things and label things and KNOW things because it helps us to make sense of our world and feel comfortable moving through it.
Schemas are a very useful tool, evolutionary speaking

I don't think i ever really did. At least i can't remember believing in god for longer than i believed in santa claus.
