This is the truth about getting into heaven. GOD helps those who help others so do with it what you will. [Spirituality & Religion]

1.God is against jewellery because of the golden calf the Israelites made in the desert out of their jewellry. There were tears in heaven that day and everyone who wears jewellery is wearing property of satan and aint going to heaven. Argue till you turn pink if you want, i didnt make that rule.
2.Fallen angels tought make up and tattoos to people in defiance of the verse in leviticus were the Lord tells people not to put markings or drawings on their body. People with that are defying God and going to hell, argue till ur pink in the face but u wont go to heaven with tattoo or make up
3.women cant wear trousers and men dont wear dresses. Such people are an abomination to God.
4.women should cover their hair because of the angels(why u see some Jewish women cover their). I dont knw wat happens to those who dont.
U can argue about that all u want but i told u and ur blood wont be required of my hands anymore.

🤔 Okay. I’m not christian of course but I like to think I know a bit on the bible. More so the Old Testament, however this is my take on it.

1) Wasn’t jesus gifted with jewellery when he was born? There’s more than one account of jewellery being mentioned in the bible and it’s mainly in reference to prophets wearing them and how they’re adorned. The whole point is that you shouldn’t rely on your outer appearance, not that you can’t wear jewellery.

2) The message on tattoos is clear, yes but “markings” refers to permanent markings. Make-up isn’t gonna send anyone to hell. I’m sure God has more to worry about.

3) Women can wear trousers. Yes it states that women are not to wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, but no mention of trousers. Who in the middle east wore trousers at the time? I’m pretty sure everyone wore robe garments. This is just your interpretation.

4) Yes it states this too. I’ve never heard of the reason of angels but I genuinely don’t believe those who don’t cover their hair are heading for hell. The God I know is the most merciful. Again, it’s your interpretation.

[c=#7700B2]no this is the truth, you have no idea what you are talking about and just going off of hope and warping religion to match your viewpoints. No one knows what happens after you die. Incredibly narcissistic to believe that you have the facts for a afterlife and who gets in or doesnt.. Also isn't it apparently a sin for women to speak for God? hmm guess maybe you wont be going to heaven either🤷‍♀️ [/c]
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@MarkA [c=#7700B2]yeah I know its pointless but all this lady seems to do is post stuff hating on people and judging them and using religion as a tool to do it. there always seems to be someone like this come on here every so often and say the same old stuff over and over again and eventually leaves or gives up due to no one caring.. so will just see how long it takes her[/c]
@PlumBerries im not looking down on u or anyone. It is very hard to get into heaven an i want people to understand that. I will try to live for God and hope to get into heaven. I do believe il go to heaven contrary to what anyone says. If u dont believe in God i dont know what to say that will change ur mind.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
[c=#7700B2]sure your not. nothing you can say will change my mind. I go off of facts not others beliefs.. [/c]

So
There are 14 commandements?

11)Thou shalt not flash yo crazy ass bling

12)Thou shalt not have dat crazy ass tramp stamp you dreamed of getting since you were a junior. Just no.

13)Because Eve transgressed and ate that dodgy LSD apple, women can’t wear comfortable cloths. Yoga pants. *shudders*

14) Now fam, you seen the number of fucking pigeons around? They’re a mistake, I swear to myself. Cover your head if ya don’t wanna be dive bombed.

I hate it that women should cover themselves and hide because men can't control themselves
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@lightshinesthroughdarkness
God wants to protect women
The sort of protection that one gets from the Mafia?

SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@lightshinesthroughdarkness Would you trust a rapist to babysit your kid if your kid was covered from head to toe, she/he would be automatically protected from that rapists "urge" right? So that last victim the rapist had probably was uncovered and urged the man/woman on right?

Wrong.

Not saying the Hijab is wrong because Christian societies they actually had it too and at one point even made them mandatory or punished by law but in the Middle East they have the Hijab and Muslim women still get raped and they have that exact same view. In fact a few Muslim politicians said:
"American women get raped because they allow us to have our heads uncovered while Muslim women are better treated"
Similarly they said that about women who drive in America also.

These are exact quotes but I'm too lazy to look up who said it.

However that is a total lie because they sentence rape victims to death in some parts (like in India also,) and Muslim women are raped in the street sometimes. Their covered from head to toe, so it has nothing to do with being covered.

Rape is 100% about power and humiliation.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@lightshinesthroughdarkness Historically head wrapping has more to do with submission towards God as a symbol not some perverted act of rape because "men can't control themselves." Women rape too.

Our salvation is not dependent upon works, but purely upon the work of Christ on the cross.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." - Ephesians 2:8,9

You are under the bonds of legalism. If you recall the story of the Exodus, God told the Israelites to get jewelry from the Egyptians.

"Speak now in the hearing of the people, that they ask, every man of his neighbor and every woman of her neighbor, for silver and gold jewelry." - Exodus 11:2

However God is more concerned about who you are inside than outward dress and appearance. It is not about the jewels or your wardrobe, but your inner humility before God.

"I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. - 1st Timothy 2:9,10
@SW-User i want to work out my salvation with fear and trembling and think others should aswell
SW-User
@lightshinesthroughdarkness Yes, we should work out our salvation with fear and trembling, I agree. But let the joy of the Lord be our strength.

I'll take my chances! Heaven sounds SUCH a fun place to end up..,..Not.
Who put God in charge, anyway? Nobody seems to be able to answer THAT little question. I sure didn't vote for him, so why should I be bound by his rules. That's similar to what dictatorships are like in tinpot little countries. Just saying.......
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MarkA I suppose you may be right about that - missing you I mean. Perhaps it's more likely that you will remember this encounter between ourselves.

My spot in Heaven is guaranteed! Yours could be as well Mark.
You can start on that path right now! Say Hi to God on your own. Then listen, be still and listen.
MarkA · 56-60, M
Guaranteed????????? Your spot is GUARANTEED??????
I underestimated your arrogance. You are WAY BEYOND ARROGANT. GO AWAY, YOURE SCARING ME NOW
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MarkA Here's one of those camp fire stories for you Mark.

The Conversion of the Jailer

25About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26Suddenly a strong earthquake shook the foundations of the prison. At once all the doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.

27When the jailer woke up and saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, presuming that the prisoners had escaped. 28But Paul called out in a loud voice, “Do not harm yourself! We are all here!”

29Calling for lights, the jailer rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

31They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32Then Paul and Silas spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house. 33At that hour of the night, the jailer took them and washed their wounds. And without delay, he and all his household were baptized. 34Then he brought them into his home and set a meal before them. So he and all his household rejoiced that they had come to believe in God.

Believe and YOU will be saved too!
MarkA · 56-60, M
I am not anti religion, per se. if someone finds fulfilment in it or derives pleasure from it, then great! I derive pleasure and fulfilment in other ways personally.....
but I am VERY anti anyone who is arrogant (or stupid/misguided - delete as appropriate) enough to claim they KNOW that God, Heaven, an afterlife etc etc EXISTS. How can you? You are defying all the laws of science, and science, as we all know, is something that can be MEASURED AND QUANTIFIED AND PROVEN. Unlike your beliefs......
Just sayin'.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MarkA
And in this matter what I am saying is that it makes no sense to blame God for things that man has done. I discuss matters like these with non-believers all the time. Sometimes they realize that their anger towards religion or believers had been misplaced - sometimes from simple stuff like that!

Sometimes the walls of disbelief are pretty thick and daunting. I think it would be pretty cool to help a few find their way home is all.

Gotta go soon - so don't look for replies at least til next week.
MarkA · 56-60, M
No probs. It has been interesting, informative and enjoyable. And a little combative at times, obviously. I do respect an individual's right to their views. Unfortunately, in my experience, that same courtesy has not always been returned when religion has been discussed, but I wish you well for the future, sincerely.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MarkA Also, no problem.
I'll be delighted to discuss the topic anytime.

I think blasphemy is one of the Ten Commandments.

I’d start with those.
MarkA · 56-60, M
@SW-User hard to blastheme against something you don't recognise or believe in.....
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MarkA Don't worry Mark, you are doing a great job at blaspheming! Your place in hell is secure!

I should mention though that you can change that reservation! I just wouldn't wait too long. You never know when your turkey timer will pop - and then, it's too late.
MarkA · 56-60, M
What's so special about Heaven? Sitting around on clouds praising some entity who allows such vile things to happen on earth, for the rest of eternity. Wow. Great. Sounds such a hoot. I'll leave that to you saddos. Enjoy.
Sorry, I would only sing praises to something/somebody who deserves it.
BTW, who put God in charge? Same people who put all the other dictators in charge, no doubt. I sure didn't get a say in it. Did you?

@Emosaur there comes a time when, no matter how polite and respectful you feel you should be, that you just want to scream and swear at someone out of sheer frustration at their pathetic and deluded argument, based PURELY on their own beliefs (or perhaps their religious leader's, more likely - these people are sheep, after all, as free thinking within a religious context is obvs not encouraged) without the tiniest shred of real evidence to back it up.
I'm juuuust about to reach that stage as, I suspect, are you.....
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
Everything that you stated is material and not actual qualities. I feel like the way you present this God and heaven is superficial. Out of all the bad things in the world that this God of yours should hate and it's wearing jewelry and makeup. Very materialistic to hate someone specifically because of that.
This is amusing at best. At worst it is the words of men.
