My Muslim Friends are very good humans. Why do people hate them? [Spirituality & Religion]

They even come at my house on festival occasions, and even touch the feet of our god idols..
They invite me at their festive occasions like eid, that's how beautiful the diversity is..
But in my country they're generally hated recently in a nearby province there were riots among Hindus and Muslims.
When will common people understand that it's not the kid of the rich politicians that's gonna die in the riot but us common citizens on both sides.
