Do you ever look at people passing you by and understand that most if not all of them will be burning in hel someday? [Spirituality & Religion]

Such few will be saved, very few people and it's almost sad. Many people are falling into hell all the time and you only have this one shot at making heaven. What will it be?

@lightshinesthroughdarkness and what is the pope to christianity?
@gol979 There are different sects or types of Christians. I'm Evangelical so we don't have a pope

@lightshinesthroughdarkness fair enough......I was going to point out that the pope has denounced hell. Seems like a lot of Christians are unaware of that.......also I would point out, someone going to hell to burn for eternity by not observing a certain sects rules is devoutly unchristian
The Pope has sins just like everyone else, and has no authority to go over God’s head and denounce hell. That is quite arrogant and sinful of him. However, I agree that not observing a certain set of rules, is not what sends people to hell. It is only because their sins have not been forgiven, as they have not asked God to, and those sins separate us from God the Father. Good works only count after one is saved. The Bible makes that extremely clear. The Bible teaches that we are justified by faith alone....and NOT by works.

[c=#BF0000]Ephesians 2:9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that NOT of yourselves, it is the gift of God; NOT as a result of works, so that no one may boast that they saved themselves! [/c]

@LadyGrace convenient that you dismiss the pope who we chosen among the enlightened in your faith......but when he says something that goes against your own personal beliefs then you just say he sins etc so his words are obsolete in your minds eye.
Also, why would you want to continue with the hell scenario when you have got your main man denouncing it......just seems like you want people to burn for eternity?
Speak for yourself and read the Bible. Jesus said put confidence in NO man. Just Jesus. The Pope is not without sin and can no more forgive me of my sins than the man in the moon, because he has sin himself. In the days before Jesus was crucified, the priests pleaded the people’s sins be forgiven, however, that was all done away with after Jesus died on the cross, and became our ONLY MEDIATOR between God and man. Jesus became our Ultimate High Priest.

[c=#BF0000]”For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5 [/c]

[c=#BF0000]In the book of Hebrews, Jesus is called a High Priest (Hebrews 2:17; 4:14).[/c]

Jesus is no liar. He warns people about hell in His Word. Don’t attempt to change it. It still won’t change what the Bible says. The Pope has clearly fallen into a false teacher of the Word. He is not wiser than God.

@LadyGrace well, I will take the word of the pope over yours and his message is much more "christian" than yours.
I understand why you don't want change, you wouldn't be a self ordained high priestess if the language, vocabulary and means were changed
That’s really unfortunate. The Pope can’t even save himself, being he has the same sin nature we all do. He’s in the same boat as everyone else. His sins need forgiven before he can go to heaven. His teachings are false, if he’s teaching there is no hell.

You’re taking his word over Jesus’s, doing that, not mine. I’m not the authority here or anywhere else. I’m simply relaying what Jesus said and taught. John 3:16 didn’t say, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whosoever believes in the POPE, should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Yep...makes real sense that the Pope believes in heaven, but not hell. He simply wants to tickle people’s ears, to make them feel good and like and follow him, and be popular. He’ll be held responsible to God for all he lead astray.

@LadyGrace haha so the pope is going to your hell now......you really do have delusions of grandeur if you think that what the pope says is irrelevant. As I said, I understand why because acknowledging this challenges your bias
My hell? You mean the one Jesus warns people about. I’m just His Messenger. You, nor anyone else, sets the standard for salvation. Not even the Pope....mere man. He’s no holier than anyone else. Nor does he have the power to forgive people’s sins. He cannot speak on anyone’s behalf, as that is done through personal confession by each individual on earth, as stated in God’s Word. That’s not up to you or I to set the standard. God sets the standards. Now you’re mocking God. What the Pope says is irrelevant IF he is teaching falsely, which he is. This conversation is closed. Given your responses, I think you should study God’s Word, before making false accusations.

@LadyGrace I have made no false allegations. In fact you are proving my point by making the whole ground for this discussion the bible. When I'm fact it isn't about the bible, it's about the main person in your sect teaching about your religion. But you are the high priestess and don't want any other, more 'christian' narrative to take hold because you lose your imagined power. There's nothing wrong with adjusting to not have a hell. It's a deeply troubling sentiment actually
Oh, but it is about the Bible, from whence the Pope preaches. Only his teachings are wrong. He’s not following God’s Word. He is a false teacher. If not, he would never have said there is no hell. You assume I’m in a sect. I follow the Bible faithfully and I don’t need your approval nor vain philosophy. It doesn’t match God’s Word, and Jesus said if anyone comes to you with any other doctrine than what HE teaches in His Word, then that person does not teach the truth, and to walk away. Which is what I’m going to do right now, because you have nothing to back up your words...just your vain imaginations. Nothing concrete. Goodbye. @gol979
