Why do you think the world/universe is about 6,000 years old? [Spirituality & Religion]

I don't. Just because some story book said that doesn't make it true. The Earth is much older than that and the Universe is even older, something like 14 billion years. Several methods have been used to determine the age of the Universe and they all agree within an acceptable margin of error.
