We're talking gravitation-- Do we know what tensors are? Do we know differential geometry? Hilbert-Einstein field equations?

You can't do physics without the math. Talking about a "singularity" without the math is pointless. It's wanking.

WTF do you think a "singularity" is without tensors, differential geometry, and so on?

Who decided that "things falling apart" is a problem? That's actually where the interesting work is.

But we can't talk about physics without talking about the math.

Like this dreaded "singularity". Singularities show up in all sorts of physical systems. When we understand that, we realize that a singularity in the Hilbert-Einstein or just Einstein field equations aren't so remarkable. We know there's some wiggle room as to what is and is not a singularity.

The civility thing goes both ways.

There's nothing gained shouting "physics is dead" again and again without getting specific. Technical.

A pseudoscience guy shredding another pseudoscience guy doesn't really gut it.
