Is it ok to believe and god and jesus but not believe 100 percent in everything the bible says. [Spirituality & Religion]

Like i believe in god but some stuff in the bible sounds kind of far fetched. Like how true Christians believe the world is only 8000 years old, the first humans lived 100s of years, and if you dont believe in Christ and follow his teachings you burn in hell forever. I also believe that maybe reincarnation could be real,it makes sense to me. Does anyone feel like i do? Or if you're a hardcore Christian do you feel id burn in hell since i question those things in the bible, even if i still believe in god and jesus?

dont you have to believe in it if you are to call yourself christian? i thought thats why it's called faith... otherwise it would just be your own personalized religion, right?

@newbie that makes sense, but do i have to believe every part of it? I just feel that way because the bible was written by man, so even if it's supposed to be the word of God how do you know it's 100 percent God's word if God didn't actually write it. Humans have a tendency manipulate stuff to their liking

@Sweetguy024 so what's your problem/issue? just don't believe in it ... your choice isn't it?
Of course it is.... your heart tells you what to believe ... that's called faith, and not religion...
Faith is believing without proof. No? "He saw her bathing on the roof, his faith was strong, but he had no proof" that IS faith. @Soossie
Thanks.....

For those who don't believe, no words are enough, and for those who be.ieve, no word is necessary.... also Faith @KayraJordyn
You know there's an "old world" theory among Christian culture?

@KayraJordyn no i didnt. Ill have to look it up
I don't agree with it, personally, but those who do lean toward science before faith vs faith and science tend to invest in it. :) @Sweetguy024

Sure, I've always seen the Bible as a book of allegorical stories to help us morally orient our selves.

It's okay but I wouldn't recommend it being that the Word of God is solid truth from beginning to end. Yes, it can be hard to understand sometimes, that's normal but not an excuse to say it isn't true.
