Most textual critics and bible scholars will tell you that the bible has been changed. The God of the bible versus the concept of God derived from the current bible are two different things.

@SW-User Marcion of Sinope concluded that God as described in the Old Testament was so different from the God of the New Testament that there must be two different deities. Naturally he was considered a heretic.
