He is not attacking religion. He is certainly not one of them, but he is not constantly threatening to tax churches or force compliance with edicts that violate their faith. The other party is openly dismissive, calls them deplorables, and worse and then wonders why they don't get support.
Seems weird to vocally support a degenerate who exemplifies none of the values of your faith just so someone who wants you to serve gays won't get in office...
