I do. I've strayed from the flock and I'm not sure how to get back.

@LadyGrace I dabbled in paganism when I was younger and thought myself very avant-garde for it. 🙄
But when hard times came there was no comfort to be found there.

@Straylight That’s exactly right. I’m so glad you recognize that. That’s because there’s no substitute that can free us, like Jesus.

I don't feel worthy to send a prayer out
@SW-User You’re not alone. So many feel this way. That’s just the way humans think about God sometimes, however that is not the way God looks at it. If he did not think you were worthy to pray to him or even come to him, he would not have died on the cross for your sins, so that you may come to him any time you want. He wants you to come to Him. He waits for you to come to Him. Never be afraid to come to God. He invites us ALL to come, no matter what the problem.
Matthew 11:28-29 - “Come unto me, ALL ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

@SW-User you are worthy he says so....
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Thank you for sharing....I still have trouble with praying out loud. My mind goes completely blank. But in my one private space I’m good.

I am a firm believer in prayer. God is there for me even though I have strayed over the course of my life time. His grace comforts me.
@adkgrandpa42 That is beautifully said. Thank you so much for this wonderful testimony. We all stray at times, but the key, is to not get stuck there, but to repent and go on and do better.

@PixieCutLover Some believe Him to be atheist, because his views don’t require one to believe in the actual existence of God. Rather, he treats religious beliefs as expressions of subconscious thought processes in humans while still holding on to a naturalistic worldview. This is what Jesus tells us to beware of...vain philosophy.
Religions fail us every time. I follow no one but Christ, because my faith stems from him, not man. Christian just means follower of Christ, not some religion, which is as He meant it to be.
The determining factor of one's authentic faith relationship with God is not one's denomination, religious practice or performance in Christian disciplines, but rather the presence of the indwelling Spirit of Christ, upon confession of faith. As it is written, “if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (Rom.8:9) Jesus' invitation always stands open for anyone to receive forgiveness, be welcomed into his family, and live eternally in heaven.
