When did you commit to/believe God and Jesus Christ? [Spirituality & Religion]

I've only been very serious about my faith for a short time. I feel a little confused and left out almost, because it does make life very different and I have always been pretty careless.

How did you feel when you became serious about God? Was it hard? A relieve? I feel like a child all over again.
