I think there's about 1001 other explanations for that, other than the existence of the soul.
Think about what it is you're saying for a minute; that the soul 'weighs' something. If it did have an empirical weight, then it therefore necessarily manifests itself in our physical reality, and thus should be detectable via the scientific method. So where is it then? Why haven't we found it yet? Probably because, it isn't there (not physically, anyway).
Also, the data that Duncan MacDougall collated that led him to make this conclusion has been thoroughly debunked by the wider scientific community, from what I've read.

Those experiments took place in 1907 apparently and were never very convincing. I don't think they are relevant to whether souls are real, though.
