Those of you who follow a religion: what are your views on Athiests [Spirituality & Religion]

Athiests: what are your views on those who follow a religion?
SW-User Best Comment
I don't see people based on their religious beliefs. I see them based on their behaviour. There are some very immoral religious people and very moral non-religious ones.

Thank you. :)

@SW-User no problem! I agree 100% with that statement.

Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
Live and let live. That's what I think.

I am an atheist. I couldn't care less what others believe. I feel that everyone deserves the right and freedom to choose whatever makes sense to them.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@SW-User I agree with you.im not better than anyone else.Have a wonderful day!
SW-User
@Eddiesolds Thanks Eddie! You too my friend!

@SW-User Thankyou ☺

As someone who used to be atheist it was just too closed off for me. I don't think anyone knows what's actually going on here so I think arguing over it is silly. As is trying to force others to live by your beliefs.
ZenKitzune · F
@AyDiosMio I stopped being depressed and clinging to ideas.
AyDiosMio · 31-35, M
@ZenKitzune very interesting. Thanks for responding!

@AyDiosMio you're welcome :)
I consider myself agnostic and I’m indifferent about other people’s views/beliefs when it comes to religion. I don’t really care what they do and don’t believe in.

@Stark ditto

Time for the popcorn. This should be a good one

In think Atheists have a need for more proof than a religion can give. Religion is about belief and faith in the unknown and unknowable.

Atheists need more proof than that.

My view is that we are all human and we are all going to die. It is each individuals choice what they want to believe or not believe.
rosyhills · 31-35, F
They don't bother me. I try to treat all with compassion, as it is what I have been taught.

there are no bad people just bad behaviors lol
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
I don’t think atheism really exists. Denying the existence of God is the result of falling for the devils tricks. Deep down everyone knows there is a God.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@SW-User but I’m not here to argue 🙂
SW-User
@YouCanCallMeDan So you make an insulting, condescending comment and think there will be no push back? Typical troll behavior.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@SW-User it’s my answer to the question.

I could look through the answers and get offended at people’s comments but what would be the point?
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
The ones who make atheism for me are very judgmental and ignorant. They do not want to do any work for their beliefs, they just want to believe saying "it's a fact" that you do not have to look up.

However, I know many atheists who are none of that, but they do also not care about what they believe in nor what other people believe in.
@MartinTheFirst There are also many ignorant and judgmental religious people who also don't want to work on their beliefs either. And at the same time, there are many religious people who don't try to force their views onto others.

That being said, I've never heard of even the most arrogant atheists knocking on the doors of churches to demand that atheism be taught alongside religion.
wickey · 70-79, M
I am an Atheist . My view of those who follow a religion depends entirely on whether they are good individuals or not and nothing more.
Honeylove · 46-50, F
I don't think anything bad of Athiests. My best friend is one and we went to a religious school together.
AyDiosMio · 31-35, M
@Honeylove agreed. Some of my closest friends are Athiests and they’re amazing people.
Miram · 31-35, F
I don't group them all together. Point me to a person and I will tell you what I think of that person if I know them 🙆
tombailey · 51-55, M
Well, as some people say, "Thank God I'm an atheist!"

Deep inside everyone knows that there is A Creator. No denying that. They may shout and then where is he show me. Where's the proof? All around you. Foolish human
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
Depends upon the religion and how strongly they adhere to it and/or expect others to do so. Living in the United States I sort of view those following a religion as a threat. Their interpretation of Freedom of Religion is a freedom to follow any Christian style of worship you want. And Jewish worship will get a pass. They do not recognize that freedom of religion includes the option to be free FROM religion and try constantly to erect idols of their faith in public spaces and pass harmful laws based on the dictations of their holy book's flawed morality.

I do not view these people as necessarily evil, just misguided in their intent to be good people. But sadly, much harm can be caused with good intentions.

Not nearly as good as it was about 20 years ago. And not as good as it will be 5 or 10 years from now, hopefully

@Peekaboo20 it is rather that I do not understand what you are trying to explain with the terms you used and the way in which they were used. Cannot even attempt to stand a proving system against it if I fail to understand the premise.
Peekaboo20 · 26-30, F
@ViciDraco It's a case of your wanting to skip five modules worth of prerequisite lessons and my inability to compensate for that desire. Oh, well. I can't blame you, and 'll delete my responses.
