How do you cut off a "friend" who isn't good for you? [Spirituality & Religion]

I've encountered somewhat of a counterfeit friend. He is no longer healthy for me and my relationship with Christ. He seems to be rejecting everything I say regarding Jesus know even though he claims to love him. our relationship is not the same at all. I feel like is is using me and is harming me more than helping.

Having someone like that can sometimes make us stronger

@SW-User how so??
@SW-User Interesting perspective! Could you please elaborate a bit more on the same. Thanks even if you don't. 👍

It has been shown that when we encounter difficulty
there is a boost in our growth
and we gain benefits from it
inner strength
we learn coping skills
we learn to stand up for what we believe in
and we make life changes
we learn to communicate when facing a challenge
there is conflict in every relationship
maybe something happened
and he is questioning his faith
you may be in his life to help him with/through whatever
maybe, face the challege with him
and you both get out of it- a stronger relationship
you can be a strong in your faith and be good example
I get the feeling he feels worthless
and he sees you've got it together
and he is annoyed
hand it over to Him in prayer
maybe I say all this because I myself am stubborn and never want to give up
I find myself in the situation where my partner
doesn't agree with my views
we've been gently rubbing against one another for years
and what we have is a polished gem
even if we don't agree and are total opposites
truth be told-he has never treated me with disrespect
if it doesn't work out after you've tried your best
then letting him go may be the answer

@SW-User wow, very insightful, Thank you for that.
@SW-User ☺
... hand it over to him in prayer ...
is quite a way to let things work for them. 👍
Blessings to both of you.
