a better example would be like a crashed ship shows that a ship wreck happened here

A book written about events that seem too fantastical to be true is NOT that.

@Pfuzylogic No It wasn't. If It even WAS an event. Show me a parting sea, a floating hand, SOMETHING biblical level and then I'll be more inclined to believe you. Until I see a biblical level logic defying event like a parting sea or talking snake I can't believe it

You might want to relook at what establishes the authority of the Old or New Testament. The answer is contained in what a Testament is.

There were reasons that there were sacrifices on the Day of Atonementz
