i am not a scientist and sorry not up on things like how things are dated. but i would love those tests does. if you look my question was a question because i don't know and would like to yet athiest came out and spent hours trying to argue with me. that's why i feel they were threatened. i would think everyone would want to know what this means.
I was so excited when I saw this video! Jurassic Park could be within our reach! Well probably not. But it's still cool!
But I'm not sure why your title header is that the world might not be old as science tells us. That's really not what the folks in this clip are talking about. Don't take this the wrong way, but this is the same kind of thing that rags like the daily mail do with a little information. "Time to throw away that toast! Scientists say that the morning staple will give you cancer!" Then it turns out that toast contains tiny amounts of a substance that in much, much higher concentrations is linked with cancer. You see what I'm saying? This seems like a misleading headline.

@Pikachu it was my take on the evidence as it was 60 minutes. for you it's that Jurassic park is a possibility. i made the question based on my take away. so no it isn't misleading.if you wish to use the video for a question from your takeaway it is not mine, feel free to use it. personally, i think recreating dinosaurs is both reckless and scary but to each his own.

@Pikachu and as i said too each his own. if the world is not as old as evolutionists think it blows their theory all to hell. i for one find that immensely interesting. i think that creation and evolution can fit well together given what we know but how exciting to see everything turned up on it's head should this disprove the age of the earth. whole new frontiers opened on study. i think it's a lot more exciting than a Jurassic park scenario. Who knows what the future might hold.

We're still missing so much fossil evidence, there's no real way to prove the theory of evolution.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@Agent86 the fact that evolutionists rely completely on fossils proves how flimsy their theory is; in reality, the only thing any fossil tells us is that it died, not when, not how, not who it's ancestors or descendants were, etc. as evolutionists would have society believe...
The only accurate biological means to date is via dendrochronology (aka. tree ring counting); and while evolutionists like to assume some trees/forests are ancient, and certain trees can live for tens of thousands of years; the oldest cut/cored trees are no more than 5,000+/- years old

Radiocarbon dating only works when age is assumed; and never works when age is known

Great video!
What does the video have to do with the world's age?
I liked the video though. The guy should be careful however as birds aren't dinosaurs. They just have ancestors who were a type of dinosaur. Similar to how humans aren't apes, we just have an ancestor who was an ape

@Qwerty14 at this point it is believed that soft tissue can not live more than around 500 years which dinosaurs roamed the earth less than 500 years ago which throws off all our timelines on the age of the earth. if soft tissue is found in other fossilized bones which it has it becomes a question of either how old is the earth or how long can soft tissue survive. and actually yes birds and dinosaurs share a common genus and humans are not related to apes, that is a totally different group who died out. now if evolution ever finds their missing link, who knows about homo sapiens. they still say we descend from apes because we share 98 chromosomes alike. but we also share 60% with bananas, 35% with rice plants and our closest match are fruit flies. we also share chromosomes with worms and house flies, in fact, we share chromosomes with every living thing.
