Pre-, Mid-, or Post-Trib Rapturist? [Spirituality & Religion]
Assuming that you believe in the Rapture, are you a Pre-Tribulation, a Mid-Tribulation, or a Post-Tribulation Rapturist? Please explain why.
Personally, I am a Post-Tribulation person. In the Bible, the horrors of the Tribulation are described, after which the text says: "THEN" ...
To me , the use of then implies chronology - first, the Tribulation, then the Rapture.
Given my belief in a Post-Tribulation Rapture, This means that - the good and the evil - both go through the Tribulation, then the good are Raptured.
Based on this, I see the the idea of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture as being another nefarious plot by the evil one.
Assuming that you were brought up to be a Pre-Trib believer, what will you - or anyone similarly raised - do when the Tribulation begins? When the horrors begin - horrors which they believed they had been promised respite from - many Pre-Trib Rapturists will feel cheated or lied to by God, and will turn from him so close to the goal. They will be left to the evil one.
I believe Pre-Tribulation Rapturist theology is simlply one last ploy by the evil one to turn people away from God!
As a Post-Tribulationist, if I am wrong, and I am taken up before the Tribulation, no harm done, "Hurrah, I am saved." If a Pre-Tribulationist is wrong, they are going to be confronted the possibility that God lied to them, and this could cost them their faith at a final crucial moment. Will they survive.
