For religious people [Spirituality & Religion]

I have often wondered why many religious people are happy to attribute the existence of cotton and woollen materials to the providence of a beneficent Deity but are unwilling to extend that thinking to include polyester and nylon.

I have never come across this. Some people are silly.

@Gumba1000 it was a comment which was made to me in real life by a rural Welshman who I think was either a Presbyterian or a primitive methodist, I am unsure whether this opinion was wide spread amongst those denominations or if it was his own peculiar take on things. Hence why I posted this.

@Tuscan Some people just don't think. We have a new priest whom said according to cannon church rules, all plants in church should be living. We pointed out to him that flowers cut are no longer living. His response was that they are of a living thing unlike artificial flowers. However the artificial flowers we have are silk which is of a living thing. He's back to thinking about more important church needs now.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs no matter how inconsistent or illogical they appear to others, it only becomes a problem if they expect everyone else to agree with them.
