Since when did Christians get a free pass to judge? [Spirituality & Religion]

I’ll explain....

I was speaking to a couple of so called Christians, regarding a particular subject. When they said that said it’s okay for Christians to judge, and it says so in the Bible. They said the “judge thee lest be judge”, was taken out of context.

This brings new meaning to picking and choosing to fit their likings.

I have heard the word "discernment" replace the word judging.

@SomeLikeItHot I heard that one too.

What did it say about changing words it has been done in many versions but what does it say it is also written that in that day many will say they have we not prophecies in your name and he will say depart from me for I never knew you@SomeLikeItHot
@Repete You are quoting something from Jesus in Matthew 7:23 about judgement day. I do believe in the Christ make no mistake.

It doesn’t replace..it has a different connotation and usage...similar but different.
English is a terribly stinted language with far fewer words than many others so it limits our understanding.@SomeLikeItHot

Then tell me where it says if you judge you do one of two things either put yourself as God or bring God down to mans level@SomeLikeItHot
@Repete You need to bring the scripture. That doesn't look familiar to me.
@Luvlymi For the simple synonymous yes.
