Do we need religion? [Spirituality & Religion]

There are many good, caring, compassionate people who do many good things for others, while many horrible things have been done by people advocating religion. Can't we learn to be good people, and simply acknowledge that treating each other well benefits everyone?

yes religion is needed.. it has helped a lot of people turn their life around.. good and bad is suggestive as you can do good and bad with or without religion people dont do bad things just because of religion.. because people do bad things without religion its just human nature..

And people do good things without a domineering church to guilt & shame them into "good" behavior. Doing good & right is also inherent in humans. @SW-User
