Winter Heart Song

Come
lay with me
in the bough
of an evergreen
Layer
some fine wild feathers
for our comfy bed
Birdsong
to inspire our slumber
Wind
to tuck us in deeper
All this nature
surrounds us
All this beauty
seen in our eyes
Our hearts together
Beat beat beat in time
Surely we shall
wake to a brand new day
In the forest
In our home
Together
Once more.
