If someone dedicated a song to you, would you believe them if they sincerely had no romantic designs ?

Yeah. There is a song that reminds me a lot of my father who's gone. The lyrics are very nice & touching. It talks about missing someone you dearly love. So every time I listen to it, in my mind, I dedicate it to him.

There is one part that could be interpreted as romantic — which I just mentally block and un-hear.
