…that said I do enjoy a new twist on an old favorite. (I love a good cover, but I don’t think I can rate this as a great rendition but I still enjoyed it enough to share)

This deserves its own post but I’m going to use it for an example for now.
An example that springs to mind right now would be when a band covers a song because it has some kind of relevance to the venue or the area of their show. The best example I can think of right now is when:
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers covered The Count Five’s - Psychotic Reaction for the crowd at a show in the same area that The Count Five had formed as a band. Such a great and classy way to both celebrate a fellow group of musicians and treat the audience to something special and memorable and unique all at the same time.
