Dismantling The "F" Bomb 💣

while the "f"bomb 💣 may have been conceived in Central Europe sometime in the 16th century, it wasn't until the middle of the 20th century that it reached the shores of North America, striking terror in the hearts of conservative, God fearing citizens the continent over. Never before, had a single word weilded such tremendous power, and soon , it would be revered as the most dangerous weapon in the arsenal of the English language.

However...over time, the "f" bomb 💣 had been dropped so frequently, that it lost much of its strength and by the latter part of the 20th century and heading into the 21st , it seemed that society had become immune, dismantling the f bomb, now a mere shell of it's former self, and adopting it as a common utterance in every day conversation, no more threatening than a sparkler you might find gracing the top of a b'day cake , much less a bomb of any magnitude ffs

The nuclear bomb meme is more than an exaggeration.

It’s a word, nothing more.

@RedBaron obviously sarcasm isnt your first or second language 😉

@MoodysGoose I’m quite familiar and comfortable with sarcasm, but this doesn’t qualify because it’s not funny.

All you did was exaggerate with no point.

Rumor was that F bomb stood for Fornication Under Certification of the King.

If true....and I think it has been debunked....this may have been the first governmental control of population/birth rate control.

Fast forward....recall China's mandate known as the 'one child policy' from 1980-2016.

@JSul3 More commonly the obscenity is said to have stood for "For Using Carnal Knowledge" - more credible but still probably apocryphal.

Not to mention it’s become one of the most versatile words in the English language, lol.
MoodysGoose · 51-55, M
@Ducky agreed! i guess although it may be a different feather, we may still be a bird of a feather 🪶 😂

If a nuke was about to strike, I don't think anyone would care about such words!
MoodysGoose · 51-55, M
@jackieash im pretty sure , for every " A" bomb dropped, there were far more " F" bombs being dropped at the same time. So yeah...i agree 👍
