Serious Question: Why Do People Call Killing Unborn Children Women's Rights? Isn't The Debate About The Rights Of The Baby Not The Woman? Thank You. [I Believe In Womens's Rights]

I am referring to children from the time of conception all the way up to nine months.

So you think a clump of cells deserve more rights than an actual sentient human being?
AnointedOne · 36-40, F
@basilfawlty89 Not just a clump of cells. A baby can be born with the ability to live 6 months and up. Also even before then they are not just a clump of cells.

@AnointedOne show evidence of consciousness and sentience. If it's not conscious or sentient, it's not a person.

@basilfawlty89 Babies are born conscious. And there's a lot of evidence, but you know how to look that up yourself. But your idea that they are just a clump of cells is interesting and surprising. Would you feel differently about abortion if you knew babies were conscious?

@AnointedOne foetuses aren't babies. They don't have working brains or even a developed central nervous system.

@basilfawlty89 i think you're thinking of unborn children early in the process. Babies can be aborted past 6 months now. A baby is fully developed at 7 months, and just gaining weight thereafter. I have a child and I assure you they have working brains!

@AnointedOne and I reiterate most abortions occur during the first trimester. At that stage there is no brain or consciousness. The exceptions you talk about only happen when there is severe danger to the foetus or the mother of birth were to occur.
