I Think If You Have Something To Say You Should Just Say It
Couple of weeks ago it was overcast as I walked up to the pharmacy to collect my prescription. It was raining by the time I got there. By the time I'd got what I went for and came out, it was like a monsoon. I scooted out but decided it made better sense to shelter in a shop doorway. Seconds later I was joined by an elderly gent with his collar turned up and no concept of the social distancing rules.
"Do you think it will soon pass over? " he asked me, chattily, insensitive to my discomfiture. After all, I got there first, and it wasn't like there were no other shop doorways to huddle in.
"Pass over? Passover? It's more like the Last Judgement."
