I would only suggest that to someone already wealthy or not needing to earn a living. However, it would give you skills and experience to be hired to do something similar which would pay.

It doesn't work that way. You might be able to parlay the experience you gain into a paid opportunity elsewhere, but you need to be nimble, productive, and persistent. And, you will need to put shoe leather to pavement to make something happen.
