Volunteer firefighting

13 years in and it’s still the same rush when the pager goes off in the middle of the night. You can get dressed pretty quick when you need to.

Did it for a total of 33 years between the military and civilian. Retired now but the sound of a “ federal Q” or the smell of burning lathe and plaster gets my attention. Stay safe, brother!
