how do you deal with it when someone you like and trusted lets you down

I tend to compartmentalize everything. There is nothing I can do about the pain of that, so I sit it down beside me on the bench and let it sit there while I go about life and wait for time to push it further away. Where we choose to trust we always take a gamble on this result.

When I found out the woman I thought I would marry was cheating on ne with my best friend, the singer in my band. That was 1973. I've never gotten over it.
