Understanding understanding

Upon the grey areas of inquiry and debate, there is i believe misconception that is a root of many a grievance, it is like a jumping to a conclusion, we seize upon the belief we understand thinking it's a cut and dry matter. Rather i suggest that one understands something of this kind by continually understanding, which has the opposing points in fruitful interplay with each other.

I express these things very poorly, but i work with raw materials, i don't pointedly go after what could give the maximum enlightenment to any topic etc, but with the mysterious instinct, with minimum effort choose sources which can bounce from and onto the previous and forthcoming sources.

This is a night where i section off my awareness of whatever else is going on here, it's just me and my kindle and expressing myself.

One of our members sometimes comments, and i deeply appreciate that, let it be known however that i have no clue as to how to engage with anyone, in the past i would and perhaps i lost the knack of it, or never really had it, online interaction was the only kind of interaction possible for me, but i exclude myself from it from going anywhere beyond the realm of civility.

One's own being is a microcosm of what's going on in the world, i feel it's my duty and pleasure to be conversant with the best minds from all ages on a selection of terrains, which i hope will naturally spread out to other terrain which will be then seen as being a part of the previous terrain, but i have to do the work of understanding this, it won't do to just be told that it's all one majestic tapestry, i have to see how, and for that i need to understand what is closest to me, which i have deemed the core.

If it all works out, i should say things in the future that if i were to read them now would be like someone else saying them.

There is not enough time however, my curriculum will end prematurely, unless there's a continuance in an afterlife, a wish fulfillment conjecture, which exposes where my heart resides, in the material, i would more than be willing to spend eternity with my kindle, working it all out by myself and the luminaries in this piece of tech.

Reading between the lines if i were to found a cult, it would necessitate all members having their own kindles.
These are long words for another said, listening. This is not criticism, but the words that find an emotional connection will give you more than a treatise trying to understand why. And reading between the lines sometimes means quieting your mind.
@SW-User I never really finished my replies, but the maxim (your choice in words), is we are but animals in this world, and we chase around meanings to find meaning, and somewhere we know another just wants to live, love, and find happiness but we set up everything in this world so many can't find.

@thewindupbirdchronicles To me, the reason for initial difficulties is that there are definitely problems to deal with, a religious person like a Christian would point to sin for example, i would say in more general terms of differences in themselves, to for oneself have these differences play with each other in one's own mind, and see if there can be resolutions between them in the personal realm, and then if there's some headway made to exhibit such a wholeness by how one comports themselves in public, which goes to show how insane i am by publicly thinking out loud.
@SW-User You're fine. I have an author I love I agree with, 'those who set themselves up as enemies of organized religion forget the real solace religion gives these real people meaning'. He's not taking on religion or the world, itself, he's just reminding the world how people find meaning. I'd say he means more, just give respect for their plight in just being alive, compassion, and empathy and suddenly you have a voice together.

Listening - actually listening, trying to understand another person - is, sadly, not what debating is all about. If I understand you correctly - even partially - you are seeking truth?

@SW-User Understanding as a continual action, not something which stops being an effort of some kind. Debate in a healthy sense is going towards understanding, fruitless debate is the common kind where people just angrily state their views to no effect but further anger.

I am seeking a way to fit everything in a picture, in a cohesive whole.
