Relationship hoppers....

I'll never understand how sometimes people can jump from one relationship to another?! Especially if there's children involved.
I mean surely (and especially if it was a long term relationship) you need to give yourself time to heal, be you and focus on what's important, which is the children!

How I see it anyway 🤷

I don't see how single moms of school-age kids ever get into relationships, much less relationship hop....
as a 40-something bachelor, never married, no kids I've done my share of dating single moms...Every single time 75% of the energy that normally goes into a relationship between 2 adults, Actually went into the relationship between the mother and her kids.
I said that to my mom (who raised my brother and I as a single parent) and she said to me "now you know why was single until you were in college"

@RoxClymer that'd be the same if you were married with kids. You'd put your time into the kids as a couple, I'd hope. Why would you want it different if she's single and a mother. Maybe you can get to know the kids, if it's serious.

@SW-User that's kinda my point, it never got to the serious point, because of so little energy put into the relationship between her and I.
