Are you easily intimidated by confident people? Would you say it's them or you that's the problem?

How so?

I was told I can be intimidating.
I explained I paid a lot for this confidence.
I needed it to survive, and now I am keeping it because I've gotten used to wearing confidence as part of my get go.
I'm still figuring out what and who I want to be as a person, woman, daughter, sister, and all roles I play.

But honestly, comments like that make me wonder if I'm doing things wrong.

If you intimidate others by being you (maybe in how you carry yourself, etc.) even if technically, you're not being rude to them and are even greeting them nicely, is that your fault?

Being intelligent , decisive , authoritative, concise, and assertive intimidates people . I try to take the edge off in person by being kind and cheery, but I can see that how I am intimidates some people . That can’t be helped. On top of that I kickbox , work out all the time as a method to deal with my ptsd , and I legally carry a gun when I am out of the house . 😂😂😂
But I have a loving husband and kids , and a few amazing friends …so it must not be all bad . Embrace who you are and stay true to yourself . Your family and friends understand you ! 😉

I am often told I am intimidating. So I try to smile more often, still doesn't seem to work lol

I love and am very attracted to women who are strong and confident. In consider it a very good trait/approach. My opinion you should continue to be who you are and lead with that confidence.

I dunno, everyone's journey is so different. I think, it takes a lot of trips to confidence and back to find a mellow approach. But if you loose it there's no guarantee you're going to get it back .

I admire confident people and am that way myself and have been called arrogant. I am happy being who I am and have a lot people that count on me and happy with my work,

No. I'm intimidated by cold, stern or aggressive people. One can be confident and still a hearty warm person but it's extremely rare.
I am confident. There is a difference between arrogance and confidence. I know that I learn daily. I continue to evolve.

I have been told I am intimidating but I don't know why. I've been told that by a few men and I don't think it's a compliment.
I don't see myself as intimidating at all.

@ravenwind43 Maybe it's really them and not you.
